MOO! MOO.com is so amazing! They have some way cool print products. They print business cards; But they also do what they call MiniCards, and STICKER BOOKS! (Along with other stuff like postcards, greeting cards, etc.)
I just ordered A STICKER BOOK for my emerging media group!! 90 stickers for 13 bucks! What a deal! You can have multiple designs, so these are the stickers I'm getting:

iPad 2
iPad 2 is here. I got to see one last Saturday at the Apple store here in Santa Barbara.
The verdict: It's lighter, thinner, faster, has two cameras, and it comes in white. It has an amazing magnetic cover, that really works just like it does in the videos - So cool! It really does feel zippy, with it's dual-core A5 processor; The iPads in the store have every app launched, and still ran with no signs of slowness, or lagging. The cameras are decent, however the camera on the back felt too closed in, like it needed a little wider angle lens. Holding it just feels amazing; The weight and size are perfect, and holding it just seems right. This is everything the first iPad should have been. I am definitely getting one.
And did I mention it comes in white?

Surgery... A La Mac
The other day at work, I had an aluminum iMac with a bad DVD drive - Probably because the client tried sticking a miniCD into the drive... Anyways, before I put it all back together, I wanted to test the new DVD drive. This is what that looks like:
And for those interested, here's a breakdown of the components visible:
Anyways, I thought it was cool. :)

Design Fail
Well, so far this blog has been a blog fail... I've been trying to blog about technology, but lately, I've been getting back into design; So today I'm blogging about this hideous design that they've come up with for the 2012 Olympics which are being held in London. It's so awful; I don't know where to begin:
First off, the colors are horrible. The pink forms are supposed to say "2012" but end up looking like "zok" or zoin or, as some Iranians think, "zion". The "london" font is awful, and the whole thing feels so unbalanced with both the london and the rings at the top.
Absolute design fail.

iPhone 4
Well, now that I actually have an iPhone 4, I can make a blog post about how much I love it.
Here's a list of the best features:
1. Retina Display. I know when you hear about it, it doesn't sound that special, but it really is amazing! You can't see pixels at all. The resolution makes reading text, browsing the web, viewing photos, watching movies, and everything else a much more enjoyable experience. As far as I know, the iPhone 4 and the new iPod Touch are the only mobile devices to currently have a Retina display.
2. Camera. The camera is very decent for it's size. It shoots movies in high def 720i, and they look really good. It also has a really nice flash, that can also be used as a flashlight with the right (free) app.
3. Apps. There really is an app for everything. The App store has way more apps then other platforms.
4. GPS. The GPS on the iPhone is super accurate, and it makes a really good substitute for proprietary GPS systems like a Garmin or what have you. It came in very handy on our recent trip over Thanksgiving.
5. Cool factor. Everyone knows what the iPhone is, and that it's better then any other smartphone.
6. Texting. Texting is super easy, and it presents in in a chat-type format, so you can follow what you're saying back and forth. On my old phone, I was always like, "wait, what did I just say to them?" If you go to landscape mode, the keyboard gets about 3x as big, which is nice. (The keys are much bigger then the Pre, with it's pixie-sized buttons.)
Anyways, that's just the beginning of why the iPhone is awesome!

On My Free time, I Hacked iTunes
UPDATE: When upgrading to iTunes 10.1 (and most likely 10.2) the graphics upgrades disappear. I haven't had time to migrate the new graphics to the most recent iTunes iteration.
iTunes 10 is so bland. So I took the liberty of making some graphical upgrades... Check it out:
If you like it, you can download it here:
<No longer available due to the 10.1 and 10.2 updates breaking all graphic upgrades!>
